Neal Brown joined the firm in 1975. Over the past thirty years, Mr. Brown has developed his practice the areas of business litigation, including commercial litigation, title litigation, bankruptcy, collections, foreclosures, replevins and loan workouts—involving both conventional and SBA loans; commercial loan documentation for both conventional and SBA loans; and contract/lease negotiations. Mr. Brown also has experience in employer/employee matters, general corporate and real estate.
Mr. Brown has guest lectured classes on business transactions and enforcement of commercial documents (including bank loans, leases, contracts, etc.) at the University of Chicago and the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. Mr. Brown was honored by being selected as one of “Illinois' Top Lawyers” by the publishers of Law & Politics and Chicago magazines. The February 2006 issue of Chicago magazine identified Mr. Brown as an attorney who, according to his peers, ranks among the top 5% of attorneys in Illinois for the year 2006.
